Today somebody ran into the cafe I was sitting at and literally tried to yank it off my table before giving up and running away.If you use it properly (insert it with the right side facing up, push whole thing in all the way, and secure it properly by pushing the button in all the way) it works. IT REALLY WORKS.

lock method is good, but cable is not very thick. I like the method of locking (you can not slip the computer out of the stand and the locking mechanism uses an enclosed key slot). I also like that the stand lifts up the back end of the keyboard a little bit. The cable used to lock the assembly to a desk, however, is not very thick. I would imagine that a really good pair of metal shears could go through it. Overall, it seems the best setup for locking a Mac.

I've owned this MacBook Pro M4Pro for a few weeks, and very impressed with the power and design. I do have to admit that it's a bit heavier than I expected. This thing does not work at all because you can't install the screw into the audio port! Why? The screw requires a small Phillips screwdriver and they sent a non-Phillips screwdriver. Luckily I had one of those tiny little eyeglasses screwdrivers… And when I used it to try and install the screw into the port, the screw promptly split. I have to send it back and I'm annoyed that I have to waste my time because of this inferior product. If anybody has any suggestions about a good laptop lock, ple

You know, it's a pain to take your laptop with you to Starbucks or your favorite coffee shop when you need to use the restroom or refill your coffee. However, it is handy in a public library as long as you have a table or desk where you can run the cable and lock your laptop. This works well on my 16-inch Macbook Pro laptop computer, even with plastic protecting covers.

It broke as soon as I tried to use it. The markings aren’t clear as to which side is up. If you do it wrong, it comes out easily. The key mechanism spins. Total waste of money, time, and effort.UPDATE: There is a flower-like icon, to show which side is up. When I first received it, and had it up, it would not work. We got these as we just opened a store and wanted security for our laptops they work great and are easy to use but I only put 4 stars just because when I have my laptop with a case it made the little arms that hug the screen tight and caused it to damage my screen but later on I got it fixed and put it back without the case and I haven’t had any problems.

Straight out of the box the lock would NOT open from factory preset of 0000. sent it back and hoping the new one will work. NOT HAPPY!

I found this Macbook for a little less than Apple offered it, so it was a no-brainer as far as the cost comparison. It's easy to use, the battery lasts all day long (like 10-12 hours), and the functionality is superb! The sound quality is amazing, the graphics are amazing and I'm now a Macbook convert! The only negative is the weight. It's a bit heavy for a laptop, but I knew that when I ordered it. It's super fast, so its the guts of the machine that make it weigh more! I'd buy it again.

The lock is very solid and substantial. Key works great. High quality construction. Precision fit. Easy to install. [I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch with touch bar, (A1707).] It is not the kind of lock you would want to carry around with you though. It is pretty heavy. Cable is thick would not be easily cut unless someone was walking around with a bolt cutter... I am happy with my purchase.
