I have several of these non apple branded tags. I dont know how they mess it up since its certified to work on the find my network. Every other brand I have tried (off brand ones) have been fine. These are all junk. I give my mom 2 and kept 2. when you need it, it will say it is out or range or can't connect. So far after a while I've been able to find the lost item on my own. I got 4 for luggage tracking and they were a good price. Easy to set up, 3 worked right away and the fourth I had to push the button to reset and it worked. The batteries are easy to replace which is good because the ones that came with it weren’t great, two failed in so many months. They make little chirps every so often like when it first powered up. It’s not loud but it is annoying at night so I had to move them from the bedroom closet to the garage, so 4/5 stars.

While easy to set up, the tone that it emits when searching is barely - at best - audible. It's NOT as easy to set up any sort of phone tracking to pinpoint a location, and in fact we haven't quite figured that out yet, as the noise is so soft we gave up on the product. The size description is accurate - like adding a credit card to the wallet - and it's probably durable, just doesn't work for us.

I got this as this is one of the very few trackers supporting IOS and Android both. It has a thin profile and uses bluetooth for connectivity. I have tested it and it quickly detects the location and plays a sound when found.
